My Boyfriend And I Are Fighting Over The Lindsay Clancy Trial
“Gun to your head, you know it’s men vs. women in that jury room. You know it is.”
“NO. I would not say that with a gun to my head because I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT’S GOING ON IN THERE.”
“It’s about AVERAGES. It’s about what’s MOST LIKELY. It’s about being LOGICAL.”
“Clearly it’s about you getting one-shotted by online discourse. THAT’S WHY YOU THINK IT’S THE MOST LOGICAL EXPLANATION.”
I was fuming, pacing around my office, talking to my boyfriend. He was absolutely intentionally rage-baiting me. He was absolutely aware of it. We get spicy when we debate, but we also ultimately enjoy it.
We hung up.
A mere fifteen seconds later, it began trending on Twitter that the jury was split 11–1. Meaning it was literally impossible for the three male jurors to be holding the line against all the women. I immediately called him back to gloat about how, had there actually been a gun to his head, he would now be dead.
